Ashley Graham is a name that you may or may not have heard. Typically when we think of fashion models the likes of Kendall, Gigi, and Cara come to mind. But soon there could be another household name that is on everyone’s lips: Ashley Graham. Starting her career with the famed agency Wilhelmina Models in 2001, Ashley is one of the models making a case for typically ‘plus-sized’ girls. The stunning Nebraska native has graced runways across the world, as well as the glossy pages of Sports Illustrated, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar. In an industry where girls of a UK size 4 are mostly emblazoned across the media, the size 16 Ashley is sure to change the fashion game entirely.

When speaking to the Huffington Post, Ashley says that she ‘stands firm on believing that labels don’t need to be involved with anything’. Alongside her stance against labelling, body-shaming, and the confines of the fashion industry, Ashley has been involved in a TED Talk celebrating woman’s curves and has done the circuit as a motivational speaker. ‘I wanted to create a community of women to be able to talk about these body woes and insecurities and body shaming that a lot of women have within themselves because you’re not alone’, she says to the Huffington Post, when discussing the subject of self-confidence.

Ashley is already starting to become a prominent fixture with major players in the fashion industry. She has showcased collections during New York Fashion Week and been involved in the production of a lingerie line stocked at Simply Be. More recently she was featured on Love Magazine’s advent extravaganza alongside the likes of Lily Aldridge, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner.

All in all, she has a stunning look, a personality to match, and a list of job experience that would make any aspiring model jealous. Ashley Graham is breaking the boundaries in the fashion industry, and helping girls of all shapes and sizes to come together and celebrate themselves.
