Forget about long wavy hair, the shoulder length just made its breakthrough. There was a time when the longer the hair the better you looked, but that time is long gone. Sweden’s fashion elite has chopped of their golden locks and are rocking a shorter but more stylish look.
Their fellow followers are not far behind and it seems like most of us can pull off the short hair trend. I tried but soon realized that long hair benefits my face shape in a far better way.
As we realized that the world didn’t come to an end when we cut our hair, we started experimenting with more than the length. A colour that I think none of us expected to make it to the it-list, having us spending more time at the hairdresser than ever before. I’m talking about grey hair!
The first thing that comes to most peoples minds when they think OF grey hair is old peoples hair. Why would anyone want granny hair? Check out how beautifull Lady Gaga’s grey hair is! Not so granny after all eh?!
Lady Gaga had me drool over her perfect gray shade and it’s obvious I wasn’t the only one. Want to be the ultimate trendsetter? Cut it short and dye it grey!
Lady Gaga isn’t the only celebrity who’s rocking the grey hair trend. Stars like Rihanna and Kylie Jenner proved once again that they can pull of any new trend! For inspiration follow click here.
Some of us are literally freaked out by the idea of scissors near our precious hair. But really, what is the worst thing that could happen? It will grow out and if you truly hate it there’s always extensions.
If you’re not feeling the whole dare devil thing take it step by step. Start with cutting off a few inches and take it from there. Colouring is always easier; just dye it back if you don’t like it!
However, I do support you brave people and I wish to be one of you! Therefore I’ve gathered some inspiration for those of us who crave change but are afraid of taking that first terrifying step.

This girl, is killing it in an edgy version of the bob. This color is perfect for those of you who prefer taking baby steps when it comes to dyeing your hair. It’s the first step into becoming grey.
If you prefer a more natural color, maybe you’re willing to cut a little shorter? This hairstyle is the definition of chic!
If you’re going to take it to the next level, cutting and/or dyeing, go to a hairdresser! There’s a far better chance that you’ll be happy about the result if it’s done by a professional. If you’re dissatisfied at least you can’t blame yourself!
So how do you keep it all shiny and colorful? Here are a few tips on how to keep your hair happy and healthy:
- Use shampoo and conditioner for coloured haired.
- Split ends and frizzy lengths equals a visit at the hairdresser.
- Instead of a ponytail, braid your hair before bed to reduce damage to your hair. Also sleeping on silk duvet covers is said to decrease damage to your hair.
