A Note To Myself in 5 years Time As the saying goes, “you’ll be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the things you did”. The amount of things we want to achieve in life can be overwhelming. Having the motivation to get out there and do them can be lacking at times. Choosing a path can be a struggle too. I mean, how do school leavers decide to then dedicate three years of their lives to one subject, just like that? It’s a big decision to make. Especially at such a young age. I for one applaud them.
My theory is, life should be about what you WANT it to be about. You should aim to do what makes you happy. Do You like writing? Then write. Do You like baking? Then bake. Nobody can tell you that you can’t, right? Plus, nobody’s going to do it for you. The amount of people who lose sight of their passions over time, because ‘life’ gets in the way is saddening. Make your passions a part of your life and you never know where they could take you.
Do what makes you happy. To be happy is one of the most important things. If you settle for something less because it’s easier, you’ll regret it in the future. You don’t want to look back and think, ‘what if?’ Now do you? The things that make us happy are what makes life great, so never lose sight of what makes your life worth living.
It’s never too late to do what makes you happy, although you may have wished you’d have started earlier. There is no sell-by date on being happy and content with your life. Change can happen at any time and it doesn’t have to be negative! Although the word ‘change’ can sometimes be scary, sometimes it’s what’s needed to make the most out of what life has to offer.
We only get one life. That’s ONE chance to try and do all the things you want to achieve. What time is there like the present? You’ll be surprised at what you can achieve. You have the power to benefit your life and build up your own success stories, so why not start right now? It’s easier than you think. You might surprise yourself at just how capable you are of being pretty brilliant!
